Quite possibly THE most important configuration setting after your business details, the Geography section allows you to fine tune where your advert gets displayed.

FREE listing members may only go down to Postal Town level, for example RG for Reading.  You may define up to 12 Postal Towns only as a condition/restriction of the listing type.

PAID listing members may go one level further, to Postal Outcode level, for example RG1 in the centre of Reading.  You may define unlimited postal outcodes within a maximum of 24 postal towns as a condition/restriction of the listing type.

National or Agency members may specify an unlimited number of postal outcodes in an unlimited number of postal towns.

Members covering Provinces in Eire will be aware that there is no postcode scheme in that country, therefore the minimum level of detail that can be selected is the Province name.

Understanding the display

Understanding the configuration process

Firstly, when posting any changes to the geographical coverage area, you must tell us what kind of update you are sending:

By default, we will take this posting to mean that you are re-defining your entire coverage area.  If you’d like to change this so that we only add the new selections, or remove some existing selections, then choose the appropriate radio button.

Each Postal Town is represented thus:

To select the entire postal town (the only available option to free listing members), just click the button.  Job done.

To go down to postal outcode level, click the yellow ‘Expand…’ link to see:

… and select the appropriate buttons next to the blue outcodes as required.

Members covering any part of Eire will notice that the dropdown shows only Province names:

Members covering any part of LONDON will find this at the very end of the list, and the postal outcodes summarised below:

When you’ve made all the necessary selections, hit the Submit button and we’ll do the rest!
