Spitbank Fort was designed to defend the anchorage and the inner approaches to Portsmouth harbour from French invaders and to act as a second line of defence against light draft vessels that had managed to pass the heavier fortified outer defensive forts.

St Rhads has several rooms suitable for different functions. Here we are reviewing the Games Room used for a childrens party. Other rooms at the venue are certainly more suitable for events such as weddings - these will be reviewed seperately.
