Supplier Feedback for Blackburn House - Boughton Pumping Station (1)
Was able to get the van to the door but had to move it after,
Short walk from the doors via 2 sets of doors
VERY poor , small DJ booth not big enough for anything . told to set up in front of booth on dance floor. when setup was 90% complete told to move everything to side of room.
Good and friendly but lacking in communication skills.
When using the marquee, you have to locate Bishops Drive adjacent to the Cathedral, drive 100/150m, locate a galvanised farm gate on left hand side (gateway gravelled with stones), follow the tracks about 50m and you then arrive at a small landscaped planted area where you can park beside the marquee. If caterers are involved, their vehicles can soon fill up the small grassed parking area.
I had to carry my equipment through the marquee kitchen which was busy with staff and chefs preparing and serving food. The kitchen leads to a partitioned off set up area.
As I was sharing the space with a band, set up space was limited. Low marquee roof where it meets the walls but gently sloping upwards to apex of roof. Starlight drapes attached to marquee ceiling to give a darker/blackout effect in the dance area. A dance floor was in situ but positioned so as not to afford enough space for a DJ rig and a band. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: 2m or less
